My subject is “What was your first valentine like?” It was submitted by http://www.chewylicious.com Here goes:
OMG. I started to freak out when I read the prompt…hubby and I really haven’t celebrated Valentines Day in years. Sure we’ve gone out…but it’s always to a place that we have a gift card to and that;s the end of the celebration. Besides, why be nice to me on just special days…you should be nice to me all year round and vice verse. Though, I do cute crafts with my son…it’s always fun to have holiday fun with my little man.
Okay, now back to my hubby, well I had to dig in some old photos on Picasa Web. Low and behold, I found some good ones. We met at in April 1995, but sadly the earliest Valentine’s Day pics I could find were from 2006. Still you are in for a treat… (Sorry about the date on the pictures…that was way way way back in time when I had a camera for pictures and not a phone…giggle snort)
The couple in these photos….
have been together for 11 years
have been married for 5 years
in three years and four months they would be parents to a true miracle and gift
in six years she would be posting about these pictures that represented a lifetime ago

first we’ll have serious photos

hubby tying to act tough while still smiling

I had to put a heart over the ladies face behind me, she was looking right into the camera…probably wondering who these weird people taking these pictures are, LOL

this picture still cracks me up
Now we only appear in photos if Dino is in them with us…how times change.
Ha ha ha. You’re too funny. I do love those old pics of you and hubby. Happy (soon) Valentine’s day to all 3 of you!
Thanks babe…so love participating in these swaps…love the suspense of not knowing whta the prompt will be
Isn’t it great to look back and realize you had NO idea what the next years had in store for you!
yes, I look back and want to whisper in my ear and promise things will be wonderful
Makes me nostalgic.
it does, doesn’t it?
The photos are so sweet. I have a box I haven’t gone through in years. You make a sweet looking couple and now you have your little man! What a fun look back 🙂
Thanks babe, it was fun to dig for old photos.
Awww, this makes me want to go hunting for my old photos!
it does, doesn’t it?
Glad to have found your blog through the swap! You two are adorable! Young and in love is a beautiful thing! I’ll have to look around your site for a while! I love a new find!
I love your blog too, I just read about the residents in your life, very similar to mine.
I’ve got a whole batch of old pictures—but I’d die if anyone saw my poodle cut hairstyle from back then! Love your pics–ESPECIALLY the one of your hubby–hilarious!
yeah, he’s a goofball, most of the time he doesn’t know when to stop.
I love it! You two are just like us. 🙂 We haven’t celebrated Valentine’s Day since the year he spray painted flowers purple for me after not being able to find the right kind of over priced half dead flower to express his love. It’s safer and cheaper this way. 🙂
I loved seeing pictures of the two of you. So much fun to look back on… photo bomber and all. ❤
OMG…laughing hard, men are so silly sometimes. Yeah, it was a good photobomb too, LOL
I love to look back on pictures and see how much we’ve changed. We don’t really celebrate either….something else always comes up….
Loved the post!!
as long as we treat each other nicely throughout the year, one day isn’t a bigger deal.
We are celebrating this year….I’m getting him a grill! lol
you two look so cute!! LOL at what Tracy said!!
thanks babe, it was fun looking at old photos
LOL. I love the pepper picture! The heart gives it character.
LOL…I remember thinking …what am I doing?
Happy to find you through the swap. So cool – well, in my case maybe so scary – to dig out old photos! I love the way you put this together! My hubby and I haven’t celebrated V-Day in…well, it’s been awhile – I’m glad I’m not the only one…
This is such a cute post! I am so new to blogging but this swap thing is totally awesome. You got a good topic and you were prepared with your old skool pics:) I enjoyed the story. Happy Sharing SITStah!
Awwww I love it! Thank you for sharing your wonderful pictures with us and sharing your Valentine’s Day with us! =) The silly ones are the best!
LOVE the pics! I hate Valentines Day. Stupidest non-holiday holiday ever. I should tell you how I really feel. I had a sucktastic weekend, so this prompt made me smile, good job!
