My SITS Day

I have been a terrible blogger recently, real life has taken over every minute of my time and I haven’t been blogging. I have such guilt that today is my SITS day. Though I am so happy and thrilled to be featured. Thank you SITS for making me feel so welcomed and supported. I have met so many wonderful people through mommy blogging and learned quite a bit about myself. Perhaps this is a wake up call to get my blogging act together and get organized with my blogging.

How do you all find time to blog and read blogs, while still functioning in real life? I find I am so exhausted at the end of the night that I can move. Perhaps I should wake up at 4:30 to do my blogging and reading.

Anyway. I am SO EXCITED that this is my day, and vow that I will be a better mommy blogger.

  1. Happy SITS Day! Finding the time to blog, while taking care of your family can be a struggle. I try to write posts in advance when possible. I also welcome guest bloggers! And not every post has to be a masterpiece. Even a short funny conversation you’ve had with someone makes for an interesting piece. πŸ™‚

  2. Happy SIts day! It is so hard to find the time! Early mornings or late at night for me- but need to limit the time. It helps to plan and schedule things out! And it helps to insist on “no guilt”! We all do our best:))

  3. Happy SITS Day!

Finding a balance can be so hard sometimes! I find that the more organized I am, the easier it is to schedule time for blogging stuff. I also have one hard and fast rule: Family first. If there is no time for blog, I don’t do it. That’s hard for me because I don’t want to let down and disappoint people, but I’d feel worse keeping the blogging world happy while losing my family in the process. That being said, I cannot fault you for having a hiatus because of real life issues, but rather commend you for keeping your sights on what is truly important: your family. πŸ™‚

I hope you have a great day and find the balance you need to be here like you want to be while still being the mom you need to be! πŸ™‚

  4. It is SO HARD to find the balance! I definitely feel like when real life is causing stress, it is almost impossible to find the time to blog. In my case, having an amazing blogging partner has helped tremendously. And letting my laundry pile up to the ceiling helps, too! πŸ˜‰ Happy SITS day! πŸ™‚

  5. Congratulations on your SITS day. I hope it’s a fabulous day for you!

Your life is your life. That’s where you live and where you are most needed. I don’t think you should ever feel guilty for not blogging. When the time is right, it will happen. Until then — live!

  6. Congratulations on being featured πŸ˜€
I don’t even have a kid yet sometimes I have no time to catch up on reading my favorite blogs. Don’t feel too bad. Your little Dino needs you way more anyway πŸ™‚

  7. Happy SITS Day and can so relate to this. I read and comment on many blogs a day, while also writing my blog daily. And am exhausted many days and nights at this point. But I just do my best as this point and no worries you do what you can. Following you now πŸ™‚

  8. Happy SITS Day! Sometimes life certainly takes over! It’s so hard to do it all in one day! I try to make the best of the quiet time I have at home…with two kids, that’s super hard!

  9. Happy SITS Day! It is very hard balancing out life and blogging. Ive been trying hard to get some blogging done before my son starts his lessons online and in between his classes. I did get a planner and scheduling out some posts, it seems to be helping!

  10. I struggle with this as well. I have three small children so it’ simpossible to sit at the computer for too long, but I try! And I could spend hours and hours just reading and commenting on blogs. Someone posted the BEST advice today, and I am going to put it into action. Focus ONE day on writing – get all of your posts lined up and written, say on Monday. Then Tuesday is your day to read and comment on blogs. Wednesday is maybe your day to research for future posts, etc, etc. Determine what your main five activities are, set a day for them, and go with it! I think this will help me! Happy SITS day!

  11. Karen,
:Love the Blog and love the name! Happy SITS Day too!!
As for finding time, I do not even have a child, so I cannot imagine. I think for 2013 I have to create and stick to more lists and outlines….as my goal is many more posts in a week, but it is hard for sure! You have done a fab job here, keep it up!

  12. Some days I have time, some days I don’t its all a balance and I pretty much take the weekends off from blogging/networking to spend with my family. Happy SITS day!
