Middle of the Bed

Another Monday and another NaBloPoMo Writing Prompt

If you had to get locked in some place (book store, amusement park, etc) overnight alone,
where would you choose to be locked in?

Okay, the only way I can answer this is if I know my son isn’t home alone. All I kept thinking about is who would watch my son at night…so bad, right? Once I knew he was okay and being watched, I would be good to go.

If I had to be trapped anywhere, it would have to be in luxury hotel suite. Yes, I want to be trapped in a suite with an over-sized bed. I want to sleep in utter comfort and peace. I want to watch TV as a I drift off to sleep without listening to obnoxious snoring and annoying late-night snack raids by hubby.

I want to sleep in the middle of a bed and not have to share the pillows and covers. I want to sleep in the middle of the bed and not have to sleep in one position or get kicked or punched by a crazy little boy. I want to slowly wake up after the sun has risen and order breakfast. I want to eat breakfast in be and not have to worry about cleaning up the crumbs.

As I write this I am yawning from days of little sleep, which has me exhausted and cranky. I’m making numerous spelling errors and getting increasingly cranky that I have to correct them…I am so tired…GRRRR…

Wonder if I can sneak into a luxury suite and not get caught?

Where would you want to be locked alone for one night?

  1. Love your answer. You know I’d be in the big bathtub. Continuous hot water and room service. How nice. I love the “in bed alone” answer. What is it about kids wanting to sleep horizontal to us? We always called our daughter the “H”. That’s what she always did with her body between her dad and me 🙂

  2. If you find a way to get locked into a luxury hotel suite, could you stop by and pick me up and take me with you? LOL. You can have the bed — I’ll bring a sleeping bag. Just not being woken up in the middle of the night by a daughter who has to pee, or a little boy who wants in my bed, or the hubby snoring… and being able to watch whatever I want on t.v. Sounds delightful.
